The Anglia 105E was the first car adopted by the police to the new Panda Car role created by the Unit Beat Policing system that a large number of forces were embracing in the early sixties. However the RUC did not employ this system and so never used the Panda Car scheme. The RUC did, however, use large numbers of Anglias in various transport roles and stayed with the traditional all black at a time when other forces were experimenting with more visible liveries.
