| Andrew and Fred Grant were sons of a farmer, farming in Ballindalloch which is in Speyside, North East Scotland. In 1973 they decided to diversify and bought a Guy 6 wheel tipper lorry, mainly for the haulage of animal feed to the local farming community. In 1975 they bought a secondhand Scammell 8 wheel skeletal and fitted a timber crane to it and then they specialised in round timber haulage until 1987 when they purchased their first general purpose liquid tanker for the haulage of whisky by products used for animal feed. They now run a fleet of 10 tankers and 18 specialist timber vehicles trading as A & F Grant Ltd. And still operating from Speyside, Ballindalloch. |
