Iveco Stralis Fridge Curtainside – P. Harper & Sons, Ramsey, Cambridgeshire

Peter Harper founded the company from the family farm in 1962 with one lorry he purchased from his former employer before paying £2,000 for a new BMC two years later.  In 1965, Peter started to haul farm produce to the wholesale market.  The movement of potatoes in temperature controlled vehicles is the mainstay of the company today and still operate from the same premises in Huntingdon.

Sons Nigel and Jonathan now run the business with assistance from the 3rd generation of Harpers – Nigel’s sons Matthew and Adam.  The fleet consists mainly of Scanias with a selection of trailers including tautliners, flats and bulk tippers.  P. Harper & Sons Limited took first place in the Best Kept Fleet at the Truckfest in Peterborough in 2003 and 2005.

Hauliers of Renown is the flagship of Corgi’s road transport range of die-cast models - amazingly detailed, each model is a tabletop replica of a truck from the UK's most famous haulage fleets.

Every model, is recreated in superb 1:50 scale and includes a numbered, Limited Edition 'Tachograph' Certificate and customised presentation packaging.  The range includes both modern and classic cabs and trailers from some of the best known British hauliers.
