Founded in 1961, T. Alun Jones run a fleet of modern vehicles and operate 105,000 sq ft of warehousing. The company run a fleet of around 25 vehicles and over 60 trailers. The tractor units are a mix of Scania, Volvo, MAN and DAF and trailers include curtainsiders, flat beds, walking floors, low loaders and timber cranes. With a livery of yellow and blue, all lorries are named after the Severn Valley.
N4 TAJ was purchased brand new in 1996 and still has all of her original major mechanical components including gearbox, quite a feat for a vehicle that has ventured all over Europe. Now retired, the cab is being restored to her former glory.
Hauliers of Renown is the flagship of Corgi’s road transport range of die-cast models - amazingly detailed, each model is a tabletop replica of a truck from the UK's most famous haulage fleets.
Every model, is recreated in superb 1:50 scale and includes a numbered, Limited Edition 'Tachograph' Certificate and customised presentation packaging. The range includes both modern and classic cabs and trailers from some of the best known British hauliers.
