Mini Se7en, Darren Thomas, Corgi Car 2012

Darren’s first race was in 2004 in a Mini Miglia borrowed from Ralph Saunders. Darren joined Mini Se7en in 2006 and had his best year in 2011 with two podium finishes and leading the first few laps at Thruxton in August. Darren derived his interest in racing from working at Pitstop and had his first ever racing experience at Silverstone. His Mini, as modelled here, was originally built by the Haymans but Darren has since stripped it to its bare shell. Over the years he has consistently repainted, updated, and made various other improvements to it. He has carried out all work on the car including panel work, body work, re-spray and engine development himself.
