On 16th November 2010 it was announced that His Royal Highness Prince William Arthur Louis of Wales and Kate Middleton are to marry on 29th April 2011 in Westminster Abbey, London.

Prince William, second in line to the throne, proposed to Miss Middleton whilst on holiday in Kenya in October 2010. The couple’s courtship began in 2003 when they both studied at St Andrews University.

The Royal Wedding is expected to attract a worldwide television audience of 2.5 billion with hundreds of thousands of well wishers lining the streets of London on the big day. The British Government have designated the day as a public holiday to ensure that it will be a truly national celebration.
