Vauxhall (owners of Bedford) had a record breaking sales year in 1964. The HA marked the return of Vauxhall into the 1-litre class, with great success. By July 1964, over 100,000 HA models had been built, just 10 months since its introduction. 1964 also saw the introduction of the versatile HA van variant, which was produced until the 1980s. In the late 1970s,
Chloride Batteries ran the HA modelled here. Chloride started as a battery manufacturer and supplier over a century ago, and is today, a leading provider of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems for customers worldwide. Chloride’s HQ is now in Aberdeen, Scotland.
