While an Australian B-25J would be welcome---especially if it was in a green over black scheme---I would much prefer a limited edition release of the H model with the solid nose and the 75mm cannon. I assume that this is a feasible mod for the basic J tooling.

Ed, a cannon armed B-25 should be an easy one, if Corgi did a solid cast nose with 4 x mg's and the cannon it could go straight onto a J model to make a H, being a solid casting would solve the tail sitting problem as well, chop off the two middle mg's and put it on the C/D mould and you have a G model, 1st Air Commando B-25H and a 38th Bg with large tiger head B-25G would be good starts I think.

I'm sure that Corgi may have the parts as some photos were posted on a forum a while back?

I have just seen the AF-1 B-25 and hope with its release Corgi don't become gun-shy on the B-25, quality between AF-1 and Corgi are chalk and cheese, the only fault with Corgi B-25's has been the final presentation mistakes, fitting wrong engine cowls, non existant tail guns and side guns, all simple fixes, hope to see another Corgi B-25 soon.

Completely agree with Syd.

AF1 B-25s should not be considered by serious collectors - they are completely inferior.

Bring on more Corgi B-25s!

Dan

Thank you Corgi for releasing a RCAF Halifax. Out of a total of 37,000 operational missions flown in Halifax aircraft in the Second World War - 29,000 were flown by Canadian crews.

Agree, the AF1 B25 has been a bit of let down.

Well Corgi won't do the B-25's I want so I modify them myself. This was the Corgi PBJ-1J AA35307

RAAF B-25J , Olive Drab over Black , added extra mg to r/h nose to match the 13 MG fit on RAAF B-25J's

Fixing the mistakes on this B-25D-1 Strafer, replace horrendous attempt at side gun packs with accurate renditions, move nose guns to correct position in nose not side of nose and remove rear perspex dome, nice model just has those horrible side gun packs and incorrect positionng of nose guns.

This one was an easy one, just removed the nose and replaced with a B-25G nose from the Airfix kit, filled nose with weight so its not a tail sitter and a repaint, this was converted from Mitchell II 226 Sqn AA35304 which was in an imaginary scheme ! RAF Mitchells were only ever operated in the Std US scheme of Olive Drab over Neutral Grey.
