Exciting news as Corgi announces the release of two new products

Corgi are proud to announce two new products honouring the RAF Panavia Tornado, which were officially retired from service in March 2019. To celebrate these magnificent aircraft, we are releasing limited edition models of the Panavia Tornado GR.4 ZG752 (AA33619) and Panavia Tornado GR.4 ZG775, No. IX (B) (AA33620).

The 1:72 scale limited edition models will have detailed crew figures, fuel tanks and moveable sweeping wings, with a wingspan of 181mm and 118mm for the GR.4 ZG752 and GR.4 ZG775, No.IX (B) respectively. They are an ideal addition to any aviation enthusiast's collection for £79.99 each.

Three aircraft were presented in special schemes to mark the end of RAF Tornado operations. The GR.4 ZG752 was provided with a striking wrap around retro camouflage scheme, similar to the markings applied to the first RAF GR.1 Tornado aircraft in 1982. The tail of the aircraft carries the markings ‘Tornado GR 1982-2019’ with the spine proudly displaying all the badges from the RAF squadrons, reserve units and training establishments to operate the Tornado during its service career. This can be seen on the stunning livery of Corgi’s GR.4 ZG752 model.

The livery of our Corgi Panavia Tornado GR.4 ZG775, No. IX(B) features the squadron’s distinctive green bat crest on the tail, a design first presented by the squadron as the Tornados retirement date approached.

RAF Marham said farewell to the remaining Tornados in style with their spectacular massed formation flypast. Now you will also have the chance to remember these iconic jets with our intricately detailed Corgi models, expected to arrive early next year.
