Frankel 'The World's Greatest Racehorse' joins Breyer
Breyer (distributed in the UK and Ireland by Hornby Hobbies Ltd), makers of the world's finest model horses, are pleased to announce the arrival of Frankel to the Breyer Traditional series of expertly crafted, hand-painted collectable model horses.
This invincible racehorse inspired a nation and has been described as "the greatest horse most of us have ever seen and ever will see." Frankel has raced to victory 14 times during his career and is the European record-holder for consecutive Group 1 wins.
Named after the late American trainer Bobby Frankel, this racing superstar is the first in modern history to be named a British champion at age two, three and four years old.
Destined for greatness from a young age, Frankel, owned by Prince Khalid Abdullah, was bred from champions and trained by the late Sir Henry Cecil.
Frankel went on to win every race he entered and was the only horse to have run to a Timeform rating in the 140s six times (recording the highest ever Timeform rating of 147 after his win in the Queen Anne Stakes).
Frankel was retired in 2012 as the highest rated horse in the world and now enjoys life as a breeding stallion at Juddmonte Farms. His first foals will begin racing in 2016, keeping the Frankel story alive for many more years to come.
The Breyer model is presented on a display plinth and in customised packaging, making this highly detailed model the perfect gift for any horse lover or collectable enthusiast.
For each model sold, a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH), a charity chosen by Frankel's trainer Sir Henry Cecil.
