Fund a unique Corgi model and raise money for Help for Heroes
Corgi fan Robert Earls has launched a fundraising initiative 'Mini for Heroes' in support of the Help for Heroes charity, completely renovating a 1992 Mini Mayfair 1000 inside and out in Help for Heroes colours.
Once the renovation is complete, the car will then be taken to shows and events around the country to raise funds for the charity. You can track the progress to date of the restoration on the Mini for Heroes website.
As an extra fundraising initiative, Robert approached our Corgi Premiums division (who produce special runs of Corgi vehicles for promotional use) to design a Corgi model of the Help for Heroes Mini. To make this profitable for the charity we have dramatically lowered our costs, and BMW (the owners of the Mini brand) have waived any licensing fees.
A 2000 limited edition run of the Mini is planned, with 550 models now available to pre-order. The remaining models will then be sold at events around the country to raise further funds for the charity. Head over to the Mini for Heroes Crowdfunder page before 28th September 2015 for details of how you can support this fantastic project by pre-ordering this unique Corgi model.
