Pocher Re-launched Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 1:8 kit at Salon Privé Motoring Event
For the first time in the UK, motoring collectors, buyers, owners and enthusiasts were treated to an exclusive preview of the Pocher re-launch, which displayed the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 1:8 kit.
Orders for Pocher models were taken throughout the day and the team were delighted with the positive feedback at the event; which showcased the finest automotive and luxury brands as well as the rarest and expensive classic cars and motorcycles, all of which were displayed on the lawns of one of the country’s most breathtaking stately homes.
Assistant Brand Manager Ryan Maxwell said: “We’re extremely happy to have launched our brand new 1:8 Scale Lamborghini Aventador kit at Salon Privé and to have received such an enthusiastic response was the highlight.
The rebirth of this historic brand and the new products in this range make the ideal collector’s item for any model and car enthusiast. Salon Privé was the perfect location for us to unveil our new release for all to see and feel in person.”
A judging panel of 18 motoring experts and celebrities including former British Grand-Prix racing driver Derek Bell (MBE) and Fifth Gear presenter Vicki Butler-Henderson gave out prestigious awards to the luxury vehicles on display including “Most Elegant”, “Most Iconic” and “Most Exciting Design”.
Winner of the “Best in Show” was a 1959 Ferrari California Spyder LWB and its owner Sarah Allen was presented with a one-off silver trophy.
In keeping with the Pocher tradition, the car body of the 7.3 kg model is made of premium metal die-cast and comes ready painted.
The kit is easy to build and can be assembled for both left-hand and right-hand drive. The 1:8 sportster kit consists of more than 600 parts made of an assortment of materials including pre-painted die-cast metal, rubber, textiles and premium quality plastic.
Pocher joined the Hornby family in 2004 but remained quiet until December 2012 when the “Resurgence of a Legend” was announced for the following year.
